The Museum of Ethnography is located in the Museum Park at Gärdet, next to the National Museum of Science and Technology, the Police Museum, the Swedish Sports Museum, and the Maritime Museum.
The easiest way to get here is by bus 69 from Sergels Torg to the stop Museiparken.
The nearest metro station is Karlaplan or tram stop Djurgårdsbron (about a 20-minute walk).
Paid visitor parking is available at the museum and in the surrounding area.
Please note that the visitor parking areas are managed by different parking companies.
This pass costs SEK 200 and gives you free admission to the Mediterranean Museum and the Museum of Ethnography for 365 days.
This pass costs SEK 350 and gives you free admission to the Mediterranean Museum, the Museum of Ethnography, the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities*, and the Museum of World Culture for 365 days.
*The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities is currently closed for renovation and is expected to reopen in 2026.
Day Ticket costs SEK 160, can be purchased at the museum reception, and gives you admission to the Museum of Ethnography for one day.
Free admission applies to children and young people up to 19 years of age.
Admission is also free for asylum seekers with a valid LMA card or UT card from the Swedish Migration Agency.
Free admission also applies upon presentation of a valid membership card for ICOM or Swedish Museums.
